Bauformen - Düsseldorf Edition -
These are some examples of my little story about architectual forms in Düsseldorf. The series is called "Bauformen - Düsseldorf Edition -" and you can find it here.
My lead picture for that little photoseries about urban architectual forms differs a lot from the actual series itself. The reason for its more naturalistic urban-landscape style is because it is actually the last picture of a preceding series, which I used as a transition for my "Bauformen Series". So it is lead and conclusion. Because of my dj-ing, I am dealing with transitions in between songs and genres all the time. I wanted to translate this audiovisual manner into an optical, pictorial way. The hard cut from the lead picture to the first "track" of my photostream hardly makes any sense without my continious stream of microblogging. Each photo is accompaigned by text and thus a fragment of a greater story. And like in any good mix: the beat goes on...
These are just 5 images of the full stream. They appear in the actual order here on behance. This first image sets the "groundwork" for the focus of colortones imbedded in the images that follow. Thus, the repeating colortone pattern is a grid of quotes and reference point among the images.
Each photo represents a certain archititectual form or style. In our examples here: pre-modernism, sculpture, housing, promenade and urban sports. It also reflects different ways in conceiving, using, seeing or perhaps even ignoring these urban forms.
Thank you for watching. Might see you next time. Have a good one!
